💡 From Plymouth Sound to the Guiding Lights Farewell Weekend
If you’ve been following Stlukesguidinglights trail this summer, you may have spotted this one.
Plymouth Sound, created by artist Henry Sells, is the lighthouse sponsored by Devonshire Freemasons — and we’ve been proud to see it standing in the heart of Plymouth as part of a trail that has brought art, people and the work of St Luke’s into the public eye.
Now the trail is reaching its finale.
Devonshire Freemasons are also supporting the Guiding Lights Farewell Weekend at Market Hall, Devonport, from 25–27 September, when the lighthouses will be brought together for one final public display.
For us, this is about much more than sponsoring a sculpture.
Community engagement means being present, visible and involved in the places where our members live and work, and building real relationships with organisations that make a difference to local people.
Hospices are there for individuals and families at some of the hardest times they will ever face. Supporting St Luke’s forms part of our wider commitment to the hospices serving communities across Devon and to helping shine a light on the vital work they do every day.
So if you haven’t yet seen Plymouth Sound — or you’d simply like one last chance to see the full collection together — the Farewell Weekend is well worth a visit.
