Dozens of Brethren from across Devon will be travelling up to London tonight and tomorrow morning for a very special meeting inside the Grand Meeting Room at Freemasons Hall.

The ‘Light Blues Communication’, an emergency meeting of Lodge Sine Nomine 10,000 (the lodge with no name), is designed to show newer Masons what a meeting of Grand Lodge looks like as many are unable to attend normally. It brings together newer Masons from across the country.

We will be joined by the Head of Freemasons in Devon, our Provincial Grand Master Nicholas Ball, as well as the national Head of Freemasonry, the Pro Grand Master Jonathan Spence, as well as many other senior members of Freemasonry.

4 May

Some phrases become part of everyday life.
Today is often marked with a familiar one—“May the Force be with you.”

At its heart, it speaks to something simple: guidance, resilience, and choosing to do what is right—even when it isn’t always easy.
In Freemasonry, those values are lived out quietly, through everyday actions and support for one another.

They may not always be seen, but they are always felt.

There’s a lot in life that feels important in the moment.

But over time, it’s often something quieter that stays with us—
the people, the conversations, the sense of belonging.

The things that don’t need to be announced to matter.

Within Freemasonry, these are often the moments that endure.

What’s something that’s meant more to you than you expected?

St George’s Day

What does courage look like today?

Not in legend—but in everyday life.
It’s checking in on someone when it would be easier not to.
Doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.
Standing quietly by others when it matters most.

These are the values often associated with St George—and they remain just as relevant now.

Freemasonry brings together people from all walks of life who share that same quiet commitment to integrity, support, and being there when it counts.

What does that look like in your world?
