Congleton Climate Action We also support the Friends of the Earth national campaigns. We have regular meetings both in person and online; follow our page for more details.

Congleton Climate Action Group is a community group for people who are interested in sustainability and in helping the environment, where we can bring people together to share ideas and proposals on how to build a more environmentally and climate friendly area. We are a Friends of the Earth local climate action group that is active in the East Cheshire area, and we identify and campaign on local issues and work to make our community more climate friendly, greener and safer for all. Our meetings are informal and friendly so please do come along! We are always looking for new members and have plenty of things people can do, whatever your skills or interests, and please share our page with other people who you think would be interested! If you have any questions or want to get involved please contact us through our page.

Use a wheeled mobility device (wheelchair, mobility scooter, cycle) and want to map accessible routes?

You can with the Mobility Mapper app. The more info on it, the more use to all who want to plan their route, and also gives a snapshot of where improvements are needed.

Accessible routes benefit everyone wanting to travel sustainably. If people with mobility aids can use a route, then so can people with pushchairs and those wanting to walk somewhere easily.

Join Mobility Mapper. Record your journeys, report barriers, and map accessible toilets and Blue Badge parking to help build the wheelable network for wheelers.

Biddulph Valley Way/national cycle route 55 is now accessible from Bromley Rd, thanks to our subgroup, Congleton Sustainable Travel. The A-frame and horse stile have gone, meaning those of you with pushchairs, double buggies, wheelchairs, trikes, tandems and other non-standard cycles can use this access point. Many thanks to all who supported this change (including Congleton Town Council, WWCT (formerly Sustrans) and local user groups) and Cheshire East's Green Infrastructure and Highways departments.
