We are delighted to celebrate six months since we started the Helping Hands Badminton Group.

It has been wonderful to see the enthusiasm, commitment, and active participation from everyone involved.

The group was established to provide enjoyable games while promoting fitness, wellbeing, and social connections within our community.

Thank you to everyone who has joined us on this journey. We look forward to continuing to stay active together and promoting health, wellbeing, and friendship in the months ahead.

Holi with a Heart – Thank You 💛

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported, attended, and contributed to our Holi with a Heart event.
We’re delighted to share that the full amount raised has now been donated to Maggie’s and CISS ( £615 to each charity ) - two incredible charities who do truly meaningful work supporting our community.

Our Helping Hands community is lovingly preparing for Holi with a Heart — a celebration of colours, unity, and compassion.

While registrations for the event are now closed, we know many friends and well-wishers still want to be part of something meaningful. This page is for you.

Behind the colours and celebrations lies a deeper purpose — to support people in our own community who are facing some of life’s toughest moments.

💜 Maggie’s provides a safe, warm space for people affected by cancer — offering emotional support, practical advice, and a place to breathe when life feels overwhelming. For many families, their support is truly life-changing.

💜 CISS (Cancer information and Support Service) works tirelessly to help individuals and families maintain dignity, independence, and wellbeing during challenging times.

Cancer and serious illness touch so many lives, often quietly and unexpectedly. Through Holi with a Heart, our aim is simple: to spread not just colour and joy, but real care where it is needed most.

If you were unable to attend the event, your donation today means you are still standing with those families who need support, comfort, and hope.
