The Glamorgan 2nd Team recently kicked off their season with an opening match against a strong Carmarthenshire & Pembrokeshire (C&P) 2 side. Featuring a youthful and talented squad, this fixture marked an exciting start for a developing team.

We are delighted that Esme Matthews, Phoebe Gorvett, and Eve Clunis-Wheway of Bay Golf Club were photographed by their home club, which showcases the new County kit with great pride and professionalism.

All of the players are thrilled with their County selection, and we are equally delighted to support and inspire junior girls across the County to pursue their ambitions in the sport.

The team was further strengthened by Molly Maclean (Pennard), Polly Britz (Radyr), and Charlotte Huntley (Radyr), who also represented Glamorgan with distinction and looked fantastic in the new kit.

Huge congratulations to Rebecca Del Sol-Gonzalez (Pennard), member, on an outstanding performance at the Welsh Open Youth Championships held at Newport Golf Club on Sunday 31st May.
Rebecca claimed the title of Best Leading Female and finished an impressive T10 overall — an incredible achievement and a fantastic result for her, Glamorgan, and Wales. 🏴
As a reward for her success, Rebecca has earned an invitation to compete in the Faldo Junior Tour European Final — a brilliant next step on her golfing journey!

Congratulations to the County 1st Team on a fantastic victory over a strong C&P side! 💪
After going 1–2 down after morning foursomes, the team showed real determination and resilience, rising to the challenge in superb fashion winning 5 out of 6 singles matches to secure an impressive 6–3 overall win.
A big thank you as well to Golf Club for their excellent hospitality and hosting. Well done to team members - Fauve Birch, Maura Burns Zaragoza, Emma Greenslade, Deb Howard, Chloe James, Cerys Mitchell, Julie Thomas, and Cheryl Western. 👏
Thank You to our president Ros who came and supported the team all day yesterday. Along with Mags (Vice Captain)and Lesley (Past Captain) in the morning and Past President Julia Baker in the afternoon . It makes a difference having support at these matches and the girls appreciate it too x

The results of the Silver/Bronze/Copper Medal Championships are now posted on the GLCGA website and have been emailed out to all players. Many thanks to all at the Glamorganshire Golf Club including Martin Price and the entire team for setting up the course and clubhouse in readiness for this competition. This was so much appreciated. Many thanks to Helen Tweddle, Lady Captain for her support throughout the day along with her valued helpers. To ALL the competitors for taking part in this County competition!
