Bird rescue an rehabilitation chesterfield We are a bird rescue in chesterfield. we not funded and rely on donations.We cannot collect birds due to rescue commitments and work.

I can also scan found pets for a microchip. Please contact me regarding any wildlife as we have a wide range of knowledge

So guys there a reason iv shut permanently for baby garden birds. I have a new job nights, I have to be there 15 minutes early and its 45 minutes travel time. I have to sleep through the day also. Baby garden birds need feeding hourly. Please if you have my address don't give it out. In future after this respite period and when I have capacity again ill only be taking adult garden bird and species that work to my time frame. Iv just had someone turn up with a baby starling. Im going to be knackered tonight now on my night shift. Im literally just about to get in bed but now im going to have to wake up every hour. I need to think of my self for the future of the rescue. I have 100 permanent birds that I barely have the money for as donations are sparce. Im into a donation from fundraising for animals just keeping my permanent birds fed. Please respect this break I don't want to shut permanently.

Although we are closed for new admissions, where still giving advice where we can. We still have about 120 birds here split between aviaries and in the hospital room. Among these are wood pigeons, feral pigeons, blackbirds, jackdaws, crows, rooks parakeets and a duck. So please don't think we are sitting down doing nothing, its very hard to fit 42 hours worth of night shifts in a week plus care for these to the best of my ability.

We hope to be finding put the date for the crow wing amputation next week.

Anyway these are the babies pigeons iv been have raising from a day old, they grow so fast 😃.

So guys I'm going to be begging again... if you remember the crow found in crich? I strapped its wing on arrival, but sadly its hasn't heal as well as we hoped. We need to raise the money for an amputation otherwise it will need to be put to sleep.

Please help if you can he's a lovely bird. If we can get an amputation we can find him a home with other disabled crows.

The surgery will be about £150.
