With more than 30 years of experience in customer service and administration, including 12 years working in veterinary practice, Sally brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for helping people.

She enjoys supporting others, making sure things get done, and creating a positive experience for everyone she works with. Outside of work, Sally loves spending time with her horses, dogs, cats and family.

We are delighted to celebrate Ben Duggan, winner of the Fire Safety Manager of the Year Award at the IFSM Awards 2026!

This award recognises outstanding dedication, professionalism and commitment to excellence in fire safety management.

We asked Ben what winning this award meant to him, and here's what he had to say:

“I was honoured to find out that I had been nominated for Fire Safety Manager of the Year, so that alone was very exciting. The award ceremony itself was very good fun and I enjoyed the whole event getting to network with other like-minded professionals and hear more about the wider fire safety industry. To then find out that I had one the award was absolutely incredible. It’s an amazing achievement and it has spurred me on to do more, and perhaps retain the title next year!”

At the Institute of Fire Safety Managers, we are proud to recognise individuals who go above and beyond to make a positive difference within the fire safety industry.

We were delighted to recognise Oliver Hamblett as our Young Fire Professional of the Year 2026!

Having been a member of the IFSM since the age of 16, Oliver shared what receiving this award means to him:

"I am genuinely over the moon to have received this recognition. It means an incredible amount to me, both personally and professionally, particularly at this stage of my career."

"The IFSM has been a part of my professional journey from the very beginning, which makes receiving this award even more special to me."

Oliver described the award as a significant milestone in his career, motivating him to continue developing his knowledge, maintaining high professional standards and making a positive contribution to the fire safety industry.

What an incredible evening at the 2nd IFSM Awards!

A huge thank you to all our members and companies who joined us to celebrate the achievements of the fire safety industry.

We would also like to thank our wonderful sponsors for their support, and congratulations to all of our shortlisted nominees. Being recognised amongst so many talented professionals and organisations is a fantastic achievement.

And, of course, a huge congratulations to all of our 2026 winners! 🏆 Your hard work, dedication and contribution to the industry deserve to be celebrated.
