All our best to everyone receiving their exam results today and over the last few weeks!

We hope you all achieved what you wanted to, and if you didn’t there’s no need to worry, there’s loads of different options available to get you where you want to be!

We all love a BBQ or sitting round an open fire, but now we have to consider the dangers to ourselves, those around us, local wildlife and businesses that could be dramatically affected by the risk of fire due to the unusual ongoing dry and hot weather, Not to mention our emergency services who are already pushed to their limits!

Many campsites have already issued fire bans but now the government has also issued a nationwide alert, this applies to your garden, parks, woodlands and fields.

Lets face it, were in the UK, the weather will hopefully change soon enough and we can go back to complaining about the rain again!

James is our Scout Master and has been a warranted leader since 2007, having been involved in the group since he was a child. James also assists at Cubs, particularly with the transition of Cubs moving up into Scouts.

Meet Zoe, Tiff and Cara! All leaders for our Otters section.

You might notice a slight difference in uniform colour for some of these leaders, this is because we have a joint Otter colony with 1st/2nd Derbyshire (Chesterfield) who wear navy uniforms and we have leaders from both groups running that section!

Zoe and the team do a fantastic job introducing Otters aged 5-7 years old to scouting!

National volunteers week may have finished but I’m not finished showcasing our amazing leaders! Meet Kirsty!

Kirsty has more commitments and talents than anyone we’ve ever met! We’re very lucky to have her.

She’s a multi-talented musician, former Troop leader, warranted Scout leader, Baden-Powell Award holder (our highest award a scout can achieve!),

Kirsty probably has the widest range of skills of any one we’ve ever met!
