Please note: This page is not monitored 24/7 or at weekends. Any patients or relatives needing information outside office hours (9am - 5pm) should phone the main hospice reception on 01246 568 801. We are delighted to announce that Ashgate Hospice has won first place in the Tesco Stronger Starts Grant, receving £1,500 for our project 'Precious Family Moments'. 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who voted for us in their local Tesco stores. Your support means our Children’s and Young People’s Service can purchase family tickets and passes for activities and attractions, helping people spend precious time together and make lasting memories. 💜

Would you like to get involved in your local community and support vital hospice care? 📣

We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to join our Community Fundraising team in two roles:

- Community Events Volunteer. Help represent Ashgate at local galas, fairs, festivals and community events, raising awareness of our work and supporting fundraising activities.

- Public Collections Volunteer. Help raise funds at collection points in supermarkets, sports matches, community venues and other local events.

Both roles are a great way to meet new people, build your skills and make a difference in your community. No previous fundraising experience is needed, and we’ll provide training, support and reimburse travel expenses.

Today is Allied Health Professions Day, and we’re celebrating the incredible team helping people live as well as possible. 🙌

Our occupational therapists and physiotherapists have an amazing 115 years of combined service at Ashgate Hospice, with Emma Wright celebrating 20 years this year!

Working across our services, the team helps people living with a life-limiting illness manage symptoms, improve mobility and maintain their independence, so they can continue doing the things that matter most to them.

A huge thank you to Sarah, Emma, Emily, Joanne, Stephen, Lucy and Kirstie for the skill, dedication and compassion they bring to their work every day. 💜

Our Complementary Therapy team offers a range of treatments at Ashgate Hospice, including massage, reflexology, aromatherapy and more, with every treatment tailored to you.

Our experienced therapists have more than 85 years of combined experience, so you'll be in very good hands!

You don’t need to be an Ashgate Hospice patient to book a treatment. Treat yourself to a session, with free parking and onsite café. 💜

A massive thank you to everyone at Queen's Park Sports Centre. 🏊

Around 80 local children and residents took part in the council’s weekly Outswimming Cancer sessions, a sponsored swim to raise money for Ashgate Hospice and Weston Park.

Together, the challenge raised an incredible £4,981.86 for Ashgate Hospice, with the same amount also being donated to Weston Park.

Our very own Ashley Bear even popped by to meet the everyone and say a big thank you for their support. 🐻

We're so grateful to everyone who took part, donated and helped make the challenge such a success. Their support will help us continue providing vital hospice care to local people when they need it most. 💜
