Volunteers Week is here, and we want to say a massive THANK YOU to the incredible teams of people responsible for delivering Scouting to over 2000 young people across Chelmsford.

From planning unforgettable camping trips to teaching life-changing skills, our volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do. They give our young people the confidence to dream big, try new things, and adventure further.

But the adventure doesn't have to carry on without you! ✨

Whether you can give an hour a month or an evening a week, there’s a place for you in our Scouting family. You don’t need to be an outdoor expert - just someone who wants to make a difference (and have a bit of fun along the way!).

An unusually hot bank-holiday weekend is no match for Chelmsford''s Cubs! ☀️

Today, our young people showed incredible resilience and teamwork. During a packed morning session, they mastered practical skills including rope making, open-fire cooking, navigation, and basic first aid.

The highlight of the day? An afternoon challenge designed to put their new directly to the test. Seeing them collaborate, problem-solve, and support one another in the heat was truly inspiring.

Huge thanks to all the volunteers who made today's event a success! 👏

The lovely team at Mountain Warehouse Chelmsford are once again giving our volunteers and young people an extra 20% off all items - just take your scarf or a photo of you in uniform along to the store between 4pm and 8pm on Monday 18th May.

While most of us were busy tucking into overpriced chocolate eggs last weekend, members of Chelmsford Network were out in the Lake District, tackling the elements on their 4‑day Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition. 🏕️🥾
