Carlisle Social Skate is rolling into Cumbria soon!

Whether you're lacing up skates for the very first time or you've been skating for years, Carlisle Social Skate is all about having fun, meeting people and enjoying time on wheels in a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Looking for a new way to keep fit, improve your skating skills, learn something new or simply meet like-minded people? Our sessions are designed for everyone, from complete beginners finding their balance to experienced skaters working on footwork, transitions, dance moves and advanced techniques.

Expect a relaxed social atmosphere, great music, plenty of encouragement and a diverse community of skaters. Join the flow around the track, practise skills in the centre, chat with friends, make new ones, and enjoy an active Wednesday evening that's a little different from the usual.

No experience needed.
No judgement.
Just skating.

🛼💚 NEW SKATER INTAKE — YOU ALL CRUSHED IT! 💙🛼
Last week’s intake was brilliant. Every new skater who rolled through the door absolutely smashed it — great effort, great energy, and so much progress in just one session.
Huge thank you to our coach and all the league skaters who turned up to help, support, and cheer everyone on. BCRD runs on community, and you showed exactly what that looks like.
We loved it…
So let’s do it again tonight.

Today we’re celebrating one of BCRD’s true legends — the unstoppable, unshakeable, always‑smiling Tumblebee.

She might have had to buzz back home and now tears it up with WRD, but she’ll always be part of our hive. We miss skating with her, we miss skating against her, and honestly… any time she’s on track, you know you’re in for something special.

A powerhouse blocker, a brilliant teammate, and one of the warmest humans to ever wear our colours.

Last week’s training session was an absolute blast. We dived deep into offence work and jamming strategy, pushing our skaters to think smarter, move faster, and create those game‑changing openings on track.
From timing offensive hits to finding the gaps and committing to the lane, everyone levelled up — the energy was unreal.
And the best part?
We were joined by guest skater Kraken, who brought some serious power, insight, and on‑track chaos (the good kind). Huge thanks to Kraken for jumping in and sharing the love — our skaters got so much from it.
BCRD keeps growing, keeps learning, keeps rolling.
