Oversight must not be an optional extra in social care.

We are deeply concerned by the Supreme Courts's recent ruling to weaken Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. The ruling suggests that silence or 'passivity' can be mistaken for consent, a profound shift that risks leaving many highly restrictive care settings without independent scrutiny.

What a day Mia and Learners had last week over at James Rennie School’s Work Day on Wednesday! 🥰

Our team had a fantastic time chatting with students about People First and sharing insights into the work we do across our People First Academy courses. It was also wonderful to reconnect with some familiar faces and catch up with former teachers too!

But the day also provided a great opportunity to engage with local businesses and services and strengthening valuable community connections. And of course, there was plenty of fun along the way... including the chance to dress up and explore the back of a police van! 😆
