This years Halloween pumpkins 🎃 & the theme was floral 🥀🍁🍃

Who says pumpkins have to be scary? Our residents have been getting creative with a beautiful floral twist 🍂 each adding their own personal touches 🧡

Just a few pictures of what we have been keeping busy with. Residents have enjoyed celebrating birthdays, music, keeping in touch with old friends, pet therapy, what’s in the box? & a couple of our ladies gave the younger generation a lesson in folding laundry the right way 😅🤣☺️

One of our lovely residents family members has a football podcast called “3 in the middle” and is kindly raising money for us at Rosehill🥰

It’s here!! This Sunday Arnie cycles a staggering 100 miles in The Cumbrian Cracker cycling challenge, raising funds for Rosehill’s Adventures with Dementia Nature Trail. Arnie will set off from Grasmere Village before tackling steep challenging Lakeland passes including the mighty Hardknott and Wrynose Passes. He must also cycle all the way down to Broughton-in-Furness, Coniston and Cartmel before having to loop around and head back up to the Grasmere finish! WOW! A huge thank you Arnie and a huge thank you to everyone who has sponsored Arnie in his challenge! GO ARNIE!

We welcomed Maz & John back for our monthly dance class. An afternoon of music, smiles and more dancing 💃🏼🕺💃🏼🕺

A fab way of keeping our residents moving and keeping fit. Dancing is one of the best forms of exercise, not only does it support movement, balance and confidence it uplifts moods, brings everyone together and brings back so many special memories 💜
Who’d of thought exercise could be so much fun 🙌🏼 Well done everyone 🕺💃🏼

Some of our residents have enjoyed a wonderful outing to the cathedral to experience the spectacular Moon Exhibition 🌗⛪️
There were moments of amazement, smiles and conversations throughout, as-well as admiring the beautiful building itself. A lovely morning for all to enjoy 💛

🦅🦉A visit from some very special freathered friends 🦉🦅

A very big thank you to the Cumberland Bird Of Prey Centre who visited us yesterday. Our residents were fascinated to get up close and learn all about these magnificent creatures. A lovely opportunity to enjoy something a little different and share a special experience together 🤎

What we’ve been up to at Rosehill! Another busy week from getting creative with crafts and painting, enjoying companionship of doll therapy, and a little pamper for our wellness Wednesday.
We’ve also enjoyed getting out and about for walks & talks, pet therapy, group discussions & there will be photos from the entertainment added soon 💜💜

& they call it puppy loveee… Meeting Stanley 🐾💙

Residents had a lovely surprise when one of our staff members Maisy brought in her gorgeous little puppy Stanley to meet everyone. Residents and staff loved giving him cuddles and watching him waddle around 🥰Meeting Stan brought back some wonderful memories for residents of previous much-loved pets and companions throughout the years. Come back soon Stanley 💙
