**Have your say on braille and accessible food labelling.**

The Braille Food Labelling Campaign is asking blind and partially sighted people across the UK about their experiences of food packaging.

Medicines have carried braille for years. The campaign wants the product name in braille on food too, alongside a QR code or NaviLens for the full information.

The findings will go to food regulators as evidence for change. The survey takes around ten minutes and can be completed online, by phone, by email or by post.

Open the online Braille Food Labelling Survey or email [email protected] to receive the survey in the accessible format of your choice. Closes 31 October 2026.

What a beautiful day for a ramble!

We were out and about enjoying the sunshine, fresh air, the scent of freshly cut grass and the bird song at Cosmeston Lakes today.
We travelled by VEST Community Transport and enjoyed a walk around the lake and up towards St Peter's Church Cogan where we had a very peaceful break.

Walking back we could smell the working farm and we spotted birds dipping into the lake.
After lunch we strolled along the path towards the medieval village and back around the lake where we encountered swans and with the sun shining on the water, we could see lots of fish near the shore.

Thank you to John our driver, and of course to our volunteer sighted guides who make these walks possible.

We had a very informative tea and chat yesterday as we welcomed Eva, who is training to be a Tea Sommelier. Eva gave an informative presentation about the history of tea, as well as a tasting session.

Eva had prepared some very tasty homemade snacks for us to enjoy with the different teas too, so we really did have a treat, especially the Darjeeling jelly which was delicious!

We had a lovely time describing the flavours and textures of the tea leaves.

Thank you to Eva for coming along and thank you to the tea and chat volunteers too.

We were getting crafty this morning as part of our Well Being Wednesdays programme.
Our activities on Wednesday mornings include, Chair yoga, short walks, and heath talks.
This week it was art and crafts hosted by volunteer Sarah.
The group planned for future sessions and crafts they would like to try. They all came away with pom poms and smiles today and enjoyed the session very much.
