Ysgol Y Deri Special School YYD PTA

Our chosen charity to support this season & for many seasons to come is the incredible Ysgol Y Deri Special School our littlest Wanderer Parker Reid started her journey here in September. This school gives the best opportunities to amazing children & we are hugely happy to be supporting them 💚🤍

Here is our club secretary Georgia attending the schools charity ball last night & presenting Claire the PTA trustee with a cheque for £400 🥳

Last drop off at school today with my baby girl 🥺 grandma & bampy will be looking after P next week while Ryan & I go on our surprise holiday 😬

So I am hugely apprehensive about posting things like this!

Every milestone matters, no matter neurodivergent or neuro typical, every milestone is worthy.

I don’t feel sad when I see family or friends post that their child has met their milestone because that is something so beautiful & everyone deserves to feel happiness for their child!

Although I sometimes feel sad to see children speak or do things that is the norm, I honestly feel so much joy to see children meet their milestones - it’s a beautiful thing🥰

However on Saturday morning, something amazing happened for us, for our family! She has had this toy for 3 years & on Saturday she matched all the colours🥹 it was hugely emotional for us both (as you can hear Ryan crying😩) she made one mistake & after filming she corrected that mistake!

This is something absolutely HUGE for us & it goes to show that whilst P does not speak and she is non verbal, she does in fact know what to do & after all the times we’ve showed her, she did it 🥹🥰

Evening all 🥰

Today we went to Cattle Country Farm Park near Gloucester & it was honestly amazing!!!! So good I had to share on here 😍

Unfortunately P wasn’t feeling too good today so we weren’t there for the whole day, just a few hours but it was brilliant!

SOOO much for the children to do, from a splash area, 3 different park/fun areas outside, sand area, trampoline area, bouncing pillow areas, animal areas, boating on the lake & a huge indoor play area 😍 this was just what we seen but there were more areas! I’ve uploaded lots of photos so you can see for yourself 🥰
