A SPECIAL SCREENING OF ‘EVERYTHING – THE REAL THING STORY’!

The special screening of the documentary, Everything - The Real Thing Story, in conjunction with Black Core Kent will be shown at The Ashford Cinema on Friday 30th October 2026!

It is an evening celebrating music, and culture.

The evening will also feature a special guest appearance from the film’s director, writer and producer, Simon Sheridan!

Tickets include a welcome drink and complimentary food on arrival.

Addressing Black Health Inequalities: Kent and Medway Summit 2027

Health inequalities continue to affect Black communities, making conversations about access to healthcare, representation and equitable health outcomes increasingly important.

The Kent and Medway Black Health Inequalities Summit 2027 will bring together community leaders, grassroots organisations, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to explore these challenges, share experiences and strengthen collaboration towards meaningful change.

Cllr Keji Moses and Ola Daramola will host the Community Leaders and Grassroots Organisations group, providing an opportunity for community voices to contribute to the discussions.

Stand Against Violence. March for Change.

Canterbury residents are invited to stand together against gender-based violence by taking part in a silent march organised by Soroptimist International Canterbury.

The march aims to raise awareness of violence against women and send a powerful message of solidarity with those affected.

March Begins: 11am

Participants are encouraged to wear something orange. Placards will be available, or you can bring your own.

Swap Shop at St Stephen’s Church Hall

Looking for a way to give unwanted items a new home? The Swap Shop is taking place this Saturday at St Stephen’s Church Hall in Canterbury.

The event encourages people to exchange good-quality items, helping to reduce waste while making useful things available to others in the community.

Interfaith Walk: Exploring Faith, History and Diversity in Canterbury

As part of Inter Faith Week, Canterbury Cemetery Friends is organising an Interfaith Walk exploring the different faiths, traditions and histories represented at Canterbury City Cemetery.

The event will explore burial rituals, traditions and prayers associated with diverse beliefs, offering an opportunity to learn more about Canterbury’s religious and cultural heritage.

Date: Sunday 15 November 2026

Time: 2pm–4pm

Walk: 2pm–3pm

Interfaith Prayer: 3pm–3.20pm

Meeting Point: Canterbury City Cemetery, Westgate Court Avenue entrance, Canterbury CT2 8JL

Cost: Free, everyone welcome

Refreshments will be available, with cash donations preferred. All proceeds will support the chapel renovation.
