R World is a charity celebrating the life of Robbie Curtis, aiming to facilitate further training in first aid for mental health within schools and universities & support international development projects. R World is a foundation in memory of Robbie Curtis, with the initiative to promote positive mental health, and support development projects in Africa. He had a passion for philosophy and a love

for travel. He was kind-hearted and incredibly loved by everyone that knew him. In 2020, we tragically lost Robbie to his battle with mental health and decided to mirror his desire to help others with a project dedicated to doing just this. Through our work, we hope to create a positive change in the way mental health is understood and help others who are suffering with the same issues that Robbie faced, eliminating the stigma that so often comes with this in the process. 4 years ago today we lost Robbie.

It never gets easier to accept, but from the bottom of our hearts we want to thank you for all of your continued support throughout these years.

We have achieved so much with R World in his memory, and we know he’d be so grateful to everyone who has played a part in this journey.

From runs, cycles, and moustache growing, to funding first aid for mental health training for over 50 lecturers and teachers. Not only this, but we have now built a community library in Chitimba, Malawi.

Our next goal is to raise £3500 to fill the library with things like desks, books, laptops, computers and wifi.

As a special touch, we would love to fill the library with some of Robbie’s favourite books, as well as some favourites from you, our R World Community.

Last month .hurman grew a ‘tache in honour 💙 He managed to raise an incredible £270 for R World in memory of Robbie✨ Thank you so much to James for taking the initiative to take part in this challenge, and as always we are so grateful to anyone who donated!

Last month Robbie’s mum Lesley, the founder of R World, embarked on an incredible adventure to Malawi to see the incredible work that the Brown Munthali Foundation have been doing in the village of Chitimba.🌟

Lesley was given a warm welcome from Brown and the community; greeted with a ceremony to celebrate her arrival. She was lucky enough to spend time with the lovely community, visit the site of the library that we have been raising funds for and see the progress of the development first hand. Lesley also went to the tree that has been planted in Robbie’s memory💙

We would like to extend a massive thank you from all of us at R World for the hospitality and kindness from the people of Chitimba, and the continued partnership with the Brown Munthali Foundation and R World. We hope to visit again soon!✨
