Monday to Friday the Centre offers the highest quality of care and support to older people. A freshly-cooked meal combined with the other services offered, friendship and social interaction encourages health and independence, which are recognised as being positively beneficial. The Collins Unit offers a service for people over 50 with a diagnosed dementia type illness, who are unsuitable for social day care either through the need for greater attention, stimulation or the need for a secure environment.
