Who are we? Where do we meet? Do you know of a good cause we can help with?

*We are looking for new members who want to use their professional skills and talents to make a difference in our community and beyond. We're a Rotary Club, one of 46,000 clubs around the world, helping to make up the 1.4 million members worldwide. We're a group of local people giving our time and energy to do good things in the community. From local small projects to large multinational projects,

we get involved and have fun doing it. We usually meet every Wednesday morning at the Kent and Canterbury Club at 7.15am - 8.30am. However, most meetings are “hybrid” to offer members and guests an opportunity to participate virtually via Zoom if they cannot make it in person. Would you like to come to one of our breakfast meetings? For these and any other questions, please contact us.

On Wednesday we welcomed Toby to the Rotary International family! Toby's attended many of our meetings over the last few months and we're so pleased to see him join us as a member. Toby is the driving force behind Moving Minds , a group that focuses on wellbeing through walking with trained councilors and interactive activities.
Welcome aboard Toby! Rotary International in Great Britain & Ireland

We’d like to say a huge thank you to the Rotary Canterbury Sunrise and the Canterbury Forest of Blean Rotary Club for their generous donations towards our May Wellbeing Event 💛

This special event is part of a new intergenerational wellbeing initiative, designed to bring people of all ages together through music, creativity and shared experiences.

We know that loneliness and isolation are affecting many people in our communities – from older adults to young people – and this event is about creating connection, building relationships, and supporting wellbeing in a joyful and inclusive way.

Thanks to your support, we can create a welcoming space where people feel valued, connected and part of something bigger. This pilot event is just the beginning of a longer-term vision to build a more connected, compassionate community in Canterbury.

A special thank you as well to Maxine Blades for helping to make this possible – we really appreciate your support.

We’re so grateful to have such wonderful community partners behind us. Thank you 🎶

We’re proud to support the fantastic work that Lily's Social Kitchen CIC does!

A huge thank you to Canterbury Rotary for their donation of £750 to support us to continue delivering our project in the local area.

This money was raised from their Santa sleigh which pounded the streets bringing joy to many, many families and also raising funds for local projects.

These donations mean the world to us - we have had a challenging 2025 which has meant we have faced cuts in funding and so this helps us plug the gaps and continue to support our trainees in learning vital skills, increasing their confidence and supporting their social awareness.

Please join us in thanking them for their kindness and support ❣❣

🎅THANK YOU CANTERBURY!🥰
We've now added up all the coins, notes and contactless payments from our 2 weeks around the streets of Canterbury. We collected nearly £6,000 - including Gift Aid 🤩

Funds collected will be split between Rotary International charities and local Food Bank charities. A fantastic amount of tinned food was also donated on our rounds and has been collected by our friends at Food Bank Canterbury 😋

Special thanks go to our co-clubs in Canterbury- Rotary Club of Canterbury UK and Canterbury Forest of Blean Rotary for their volunteers as well as those that lended a hand preparing Santa's sleigh!

Our very own Gloria Barnett -Author's fantastic book -'Christmas Stories - T’was the Week before Christmas Book' is a fantastic stocking filler or a brilliant book for bedtime reading in the lead up to Christmas.

This book is aimed at all children who love the magic of Christmas. It can be read to small children, be a book to help children to read for themselves or a book which becomes a family tradition.

All funds raised from the sale of this book go into our charitable projects, so please support us either on our Santa sleigh routes in the next 2 weeks, or via this book online.

You can buy the book via Amazon - https://amzn.eu/d/8VzNVs0

Today, on , we celebrate how far we’ve come and renew our commitment to finishing the job.

Since Rotary International pioneered the global fight to end polio in 1985, cases have fallen by 99.9%, saving more than 20 million children from paralysis.

Ending polio remains our number one humanitarian goal. Our progress so far is one of the world's greatest public health achievements, and Rotary members have been at its heart.

But our work isn’t done, and "almost" isn't close enough. still exists in a few regions, and until it is gone everywhere, it remains a threat to children everywhere.

Your continued support, through advocacy, fundraising, and awareness, ensures vaccines reach every last child.

Together, we’ve changed the course of history. Together, we will end polio for good.
