Something To Look Forward To A charity website where people with cancer and their families can access a variety of donated gifts. Having cancer can be expensive and is a costly illness.

We provide donated gifts, experiences and essentials to people affected by cancer and their families/Carers. From the moment you are diagnosed with cancer your life is taken over by hospital visits, treatments, tests, uncertainty, and often, financial worries. It is important for cancer patients and their families to have some positive time away from the disease and the nightmare that they are living through and have some respite and the chance to focus on relationships, create positive memories and have some quality fun time together. The charity ‘Something To Look Forward To’ benefits people with cancer and their carers’ and/or families who have been financially burdened as a result of their diagnosis. It can take a toll on health, emotions, time, relationships and finances. The aim of ‘Something to Look Forward to’ is: “To promote the well-being, relieve the stress and in particular aid the recuperation of those who are experiencing the effects of cancer and its treatment, together with their carer’s and/or families. In particular by the provision of positive individual and/or family experiences”

The objective is to provide a comprehensive website where cancer sufferers and their families can access a variety of free offers donated by companies. These could include such things as restaurant meals; hotel stays; theatre tickets; beauty treatments; tickets for sports events; tickets for theme parks….the list is endless.

💗 We’ve got some BIG news…

We’re incredibly excited to announce that our partnership with Marston's and Pennies is going national!

From this month, guests at more than 1,000 Marston’s pubs across the UK will have the option to add a small 20p donation when paying their bill, with donations supporting Something To Look Forward To.

20p might not sound like much, but when thousands of people choose to give, those tiny donations can add up to something pretty incredible.

They’ll help us continue providing memorable respite experiences for people affected by cancer — from meals out and family days together to breaks away and other special experiences that give people something positive to look forward to during incredibly difficult times.

So, if you’re visiting a Marston’s pub, keep an eye out for the Pennies prompt when you pay.

A tiny tap for you. ‘Something To Look Forward To’ for someone affected by cancer. 💗

A huge thank you to Marston’s and Pennies for making this possible and to every Marston’s customer who chooses to tap YES.

We can’t wait to see what all those 20ps can do. 💗

Something...extraordinary to look forward to.

This December, one family or group from our cancer community will have the opportunity to spend three nights together at the remarkable ARC Thorpeness, on the Suffolk coast.

Converted from a Grade II listed former water tower, this extraordinary house sleeps up to 20 people across eight bedrooms — creating space for extended family and friends to come together, slow down and simply enjoy being with one another.

Five floors. Panoramic views. A heated outdoor pool. Wood-fired hot tub. Cinema snug. Beautiful spaces to cook, eat and gather. And the beach just a short walk away.

But what really matters to us is what a property of this size makes possible.

Cancer affects far more than the person diagnosed. It affects partners, children, parents, siblings and friends. This incredibly generous stay offers the chance to bring those people together and create memories away from treatment, appointments and the everyday realities of living with cancer.

3 nights | 4–7 December 2026 | Thorpeness, Suffolk | Sleeps 20

Generously donated by ARC Club in association with Finest Retreats, with all service charges waived.

This is a very special one.

Applications are now open via the Something To Look Forward To charity website.

💗 Jumping for joy at a very special delivery…

And this one really does mean a lot to us.

Back in 2019, when our Founder Fiona was still with us, we worked with Desmond & Dempsey on a campaign supporting Something To Look Forward To.

These photos of Fiona and her daughter Francesca, our now Managing Director, in their Desmond & Dempsey pyjamas are incredibly special to us — full of fun, love and memories of that time.

So when a delivery of beautiful Desmond & Dempsey pyjamas and robes arrived recently, ready to be gifted to people in our cancer community, it felt particularly special. 💗

Seven years on, they are supporting us once again, generously donating a collection of their beautiful original-print sleepwear in a range of styles and sizes.

There’s something lovely about being able to give someone affected by cancer something luxurious and comfortable that is just for them — whether that’s something cosy to snuggle into during treatment as the nights get colder, or something rather fabulous to wear during a hospital stay.

Thank you Desmond & Dempsey for supporting our charity again after all these years. It means more than you probably realise. 💗

More holiday parks are getting behind our mission 💗

It’s fantastic to see 'Something To Look Forward To' featured twice in the Autumn edition of the Holiday and Residential Parks Association Journal, following our growing relationship with the Clwyd Branch and its Chair, Chris Locker.

That relationship has already resulted in over 50 nights of donated accommodation, alongside other experiences and fundraising, for people and families affected by cancer.

We also feature following the Branch’s recent park tour and golf day, where Chris shared more about our work and how HARPA members can get involved.

A special thank you to Tree Tops Caravan Park for their generous £200 donation and HARPA Clwyd Branch for donating £500, as well as to all the parks and individuals already supporting us. 💗

We’d love to see even more holiday parks across the UK join them!
