December is fast approaching and we're planning our Festive Hamper campaign.

To help us plan our year round support, we're asking you whether you would consider monthly giving rather than one off donations. If we know roughly what is coming in each month, we can tell our partner schools how many hampers we can promise them, instead of hoping it all comes together in the fortnight before the end of term.

Families are chosen by their own school from the free school meals list. Last December we delivered 75 hampers, with about £45 of food (excluding supplier donated goods) in each one: fresh meat, vegetables and the festive trimmings.

Two messages that arrived after the summer vouchers went out — one from a parent at a local school, one from George Grenville Academy. £11,175 of supermarket vouchers reached 149 families across three schools, at a point when the HAF holiday vouchers had stopped running.

Each voucher is worth £75, and every family chooses the supermarket that suits them best. No strings attached, nothing to repay — and the whole process is completely confidential. The schools pass the letters on directly, and no family details are ever shared with us.

📬 £11,175 of supermarket vouchers are on their way to Buckingham families this summer!

Today was a special day for our Summer Holidays Campaign 2026. This morning we delivered 103 supermarket vouchers — each worth £75 — to families at Lace Hill Academy and George Grenville Academy, with another 46 heading to Bourton Meadow Academy on Monday.

That’s 149 vouchers, worth £11,175 in total, reaching families across three Buckingham schools just as the holidays begin. 💛

The summer break is a lovely time — but it also means six weeks without school meals when budgets are already stretched. Each voucher helps take a little of that pressure off, and every family chooses the supermarket that suits them best. No strings attached, nothing to repay, and the whole process is completely confidential — the schools pass the letters on directly and no family details are ever shared with us.

None of this would have happened without our amazing town.
