Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal is the only charity fundraising exclusively for Bristol Children’s Hospital and St Michael’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Special Care Baby Unit).

See our fabulous sculptures, the replica Moon Rocket, the Top Bun Van, the motorbike and sidecar, the green screen, a craft corner and a shorts cinema celebrating the worlds of Wallace & Gromit, Gromit Unleashed and Aardman. Plus, lots of new Gromit Unleashed and Aardman goodies, and our famous figurines.

To continue the 25th birthday celebrations of Bristol Children’s Hospital, the second collection in our photography exhibition is now on display in reception! 🎉

Our talented photographer, Ciara, a former patient of the hospital, is using her unique perspective and experiences to tell the stories that make Bristol Children’s Hospital so special.

Each collection features 25 photographs to mark 25 years of the current hospital and will be displayed throughout this anniversary year.

This new exhibition shines a spotlight on the people whose skill, dedication and compassion make a difference to patients and families every day.

Be sure to pop into reception to explore the exhibition. 💙

On Friday, brains were tested, rivalries were renewed, and after an evening of friendly competition, Beat the Brain Surgeon® 2026 came to a close. 🧠

The moment you’ve all been waiting for… did anyone beat the brain surgeons?

We’re thrilled to announce that this year’s winners are the team from Your Life Protected! 🎉

A huge congratulations to our 2026 champions. After tackling challenging quiz rounds and creative tasks, they succeeded in taking the title from the neurosurgeons.

As well as enjoying a fantastic evening of networking, quizzing and dining, everyone who attended helped us support Bristol Children’s Hospital.

A huge thank you to our sponsors, Family Adventure Group and programme sponsor, DSV, for their support. To our incredible hosts, Alex Lovell and Seb Choudhury for keeping the energy high and helped make the evening so memorable. Get ready for an exciting new shop featuring our Gromit Unleashed sculptures, photo opportunities, creative corners, replicas of Wallace & Gromit’s Moon Rocket, the Top Bun Van and the Motorbike and Sidecar, plus a shorts cinema celebrating the world of Wallace and Gromit, Gromit Unleashed and Aardman.

Have you spotted the hoops outside of Bristol Children’s Hospital glowing green this week? 💚

The colour change marks International Adolescent Week, a global celebration of young people and their wellbeing.

To mark this occasion, our Arts Unleashed team has been running a fantastic programme of activities on Apollo Ward, from stop-motion animation and willow dreamcatcher workshops to t-shirt stencilling and live music sessions. With something for everyone to enjoy, it’s already been a wonderful week of creativity. ✨

It might only be October, but Christmas preparations are well underway! The Christmas Dubs are planning this year’s routes and Cruzes, where more than 150 Volkswagen vehicles will be covered from roof to tyre in thousands of twinkling lights. 🎄

And this year, the team are heading into the festive season with an extra reason to celebrate, after receiving the Highly Commended award for their fundraising at the BBC Bristol Make a Difference Awards.

💭 “We were extremely proud and humbled to be nominated and massively surprised to make the final four. Receiving the ‘Highly Commended’ award hasn’t really sunk in!”

“We started Christmas Dubs to spread smiles and happiness throughout our local community, and over the years, it has become a Christmas tradition for so many families.”
