📣 The World Meningitis Day 2026 Advocacy Fund is now open.

Do you have an idea that could raise awareness, influence change, or strengthen meningitis advocacy in your community? We want to help make it happen.

Grants of £2,000–£3,000 are available for up to six CoMO members, giving advocates around the world an amazing oppotunity to take action and drive progress towards a future free from meningitis. All funding is provided by Meningitis Research Foundation to help members broaden their reach and amplify their impact in the three months surrounding World Meningitis Day.

The fund is open to members across all regions and membership levels, and every application is assessed on merit. Make the most of your membership benefits and apply now.

We are inviting CoMO members to stand for election as regional representatives, with vacancies available in Asia Pacific, the Americas and Africa.🌍

As a regional representative, you will champion the voices of members in your region, help shape CoMO's priorities and play an important role in guiding work towards a world free from meningitis. The elected Chair also sits on the Meningitis Research Foundation Board of Trustees, meaning your voice reaches the very top of governance.

As Pete Rowlands, Asia Pacific representative, says: "Joining the Advisory Council offers a unique opportunity to contribute your experience, collaborate globally, and help drive real progress in meningitis prevention and support."

After nearly 20 years, CoMO's Regional Coordinator for Europe, Elena Moya, has stepped down from her role and we want to take a moment to say thank you. 💙

Elena joined CoMO's first Governing Council in 2008 and became the first Regional Coordinator for Europe and Africa in 2014. She helped build the connections that make our network so strong, from linking members with funders and decision-makers to ensuring the voices of survivors and families were heard at European health events.

We are so pleased she will continue to be part of the CoMO community as a representative of the Spanish Association Against Meningitis.

CoMO member, the Becky Werner Meningitis Foundation, is bringing communities together this June in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to honour lives affected by meningitis and raise funds for a future free from it. 🏌️⛳

This year marks the twentieth annual Shots4Meningitis golf outing. What started as a local tribute to Becky Werner, a young woman whose life was cut short by meningitis, has grown into a movement with national ambitions.
