Bristol Masons' to the rescue !
Just over 2 weeks ago , North Bristol & South Gloucestershire Foodbank on Filton Ave had their premises broken into . Their van, computer equipment and essential supplies were stolen ..Luckily the van was recovered soon after but their stock was left severely depleted . Wbro Chris Cook made us aware of the story and within 10 days , Bristol Mason's Charity in conjunction with Dole Food Services delivered a van load of requested goods to help keep the Foodbank going . Thanks to Chris and Harry Ryan Johns for their great work .

A splendid evening of community engagement.
Tonight we had the pleasure of inviting a group of cadets from the Bristol & Channel Islands Army Reserve Force (Keynsham) for a tour of our building .
Following a recent request for assistance in raising funds , Powell Lodge stepped in with a kind donation of £500 This money has gone towards securing 12 places on The Duke of Edinburgh award scheme. After some light refreshments, the cadets were given a talk on the history of Freemasons Hall from the fountain of knowledge that is Gary Williams. He was assisted by three brethren from Powell lodge. Wbro David Williams, Dan Long (WM ) and the experience of Wbro John Markley.
As you can imagine, it was akin to herding cats at some points, but I must say , we had some very interesting questions asked by the girls and boys . We gave out several booklets for them to take home with them and we were also asked if we would be willing to invite the cadets as Marshalls for any further community events!
All in all, we are gradually breaking down barriers and perhaps.. planting a seed of interest for the next generation .
Well done to all of the brethren of Powell lodge
