Yesterday we welcomed to HHO to bring the finishing touches of their newest wellbeing site ready for their opening weekend this weekend.

We also have our summer solstice event this Sunday. Tickets available on our website.

It’s going to be an amazing spot with incredible sunrises over the spit, when it’s not cloudy!

What’s your plans for this upcoming week?!

If you’re interested in improving your strength and fitness with friendly and kind instructors, in a beautiful location then you need to come on down to HHO!

This is just a small snippet of what our fabulous ladies got up to last week at coach Jess’ Monday evening bootcamp class.

You don’t need to be an athlete or fit to start - every single one of our classes can be matched to your ability.

Our instructors meet you wherever you are in your fitness journey and will do everything to make you feel comfortable and enjoy the session!

Plus, every time you come and take a class at HHO you’re not just improving your fitness - you’re helping to give back to your local community because your class fees help us to keep the centre open, help us to build up outreach programs and social prescribing opportunities. So it really is feel good fitness!!

🎉 HHO has officially reached £100,000 in Community Share investment.

A huge THANK YOU to the more than 130 individual investors and 7 organisations who have backed our vision for a community-owned future.

This milestone was critical.

By reaching £100,000 we can now unlock those funds and access an additional £50,000 investment from Cooperative & Community Finance, giving HHO a potential £150,000 of vital funding to support our first year of operation.

This achievement belongs to every person who invested, shared, encouraged and championed the project.
Together, you’ve helped secure the future of a year-round community hub for wellbeing, watersports, outdoor learning and connection.

And we’re not finished yet.

The Community Share Offer remains open until October, with ambitions to reach our next targets of £200,000 and ultimately £300,000.

Today we celebrate.
Tomorrow we keep building.

Celebrate the summer solstice with calm and wellbeing at Hengistbury Head Outdoors, in a beautiful, secluded setting.

Included in the ticket price is coffee or tea with a gorgeous slice of pear, honey and polenta cake.

It’s also the opening weekend of slomo_wellbeing sauna at our site and you’ll be able to book sauna rituals with them as an additional extra.

Meet the instructors…introducing coach Barney!!

Barney is a CrossFit coach and personal trainer with a big focus on helping people build confidence, and enjoy training.

Barney’s conditioning classes are focused on accessible, adaptable, and functional movements.

Whether you’re new to exercise, or maintaining your fitness, you’ll work at your own level.

From Barney himself, “I’m really excited to be a part of HHO because it feels like a genuinely positive space for the local community. The combination of movement, wellbeing, outdoors, and connection is something I think a lot of people are looking for now, and Hengistbury Head is such an incredible setting to do it in.”

Ready to try paddleboarding?

Following the fantastic response to our SUP taster sessions on Saturday, we're delighted to be launching regular beginner SUP lessons and courses at HHO from 10th June.

Whether you're completely new to paddleboarding or looking to build confidence on the water, these 90-minute sessions are the perfect place to start.

Led by Sam Arnold of SamSUPLife, a highly experienced and popular instructor, you'll learn the basics in a friendly, supportive environment on the beautiful waters of Christchurch Harbour.

✅ Suitable for beginners (12 years +)

With glorious sunshine, a packed programme and a brilliant atmosphere throughout, our Watersports Open Day was a huge success.

Visitors enjoyed taster sessions in SUP, sailing and dragon boating, while inspiring talks from Paralympic medallist Jack Eyers and Atlantic rower Sally Percival Foy kept audiences captivated. Add in great coffee, delicious snacks and plenty of conversation, and it made for a memorable day all round.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, supported us and helped make it happen.

And the good news? This is just the beginning.

Our regular wellbeing programme has launched this week, and HHO Friendships are now open. If you'd like to be part of a growing community built around wellbeing, nature, activity and connection, we'd love to welcome you.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has invested in HHO Community Shares over the last week.

The response has been incredible.

Together, we've now passed £90,000 in Community Share applications and are within touching distance of our £100,000 target.

Every share purchased is helping to create something truly special: a year-round community hub for wellbeing, watersports, outdoor learning and connection at Hengistbury Head.

But we're not there yet.

We need one final push to bridge the all-important gap before June 6th.
