Life goes on. No truer statement has ever been made and that reflects on our lodges too. Every lodge, once a year, installs a new Worshipful Master and he in turn appoints and installs his own team of officers.

So our communications officer is standing aside and we will have a new pair of hands at the controls for all our social media outlets and news.

Please give a warm welcome to our current Worshipful Master, who is keen to start work in his new role. Congratulations WBro Sam, we’re sure you’ll do an excellent job, looking after Kinson Masonic Lodge 5331.

It’s our St Patrick’s Day meeting, which is our annual business meeting. We also had a fantastic presentation of the second degree tracing board by a team of Brethren, and a new joining member too.

Here are a few photos of the Kinson team in all their glory. The meal, as always this time of year, was potato and leek soup, Irish stew, followed by a refreshing vanilla cheesecake.

And now it’s on to the April installation meeting and a fresh team of officers. Onwards and upwards.

Happy St David’s Day! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
Today, 1st March, we celebrate Saint David (Dewi Sant), the patron saint of Wales, a man whose life, faith and legacy have shaped Welsh identity for over 1,500 years.

St David was born in the 6th century in what is now Pembrokeshire. He became a monk, teacher and later a bishop, founding religious communities across Wales and beyond. His most famous monastery stood in what we now know as St Davids, the smallest city in Britain, which remains a place of pilgrimage to this day.

St David’s Day is about identity. It’s about remembering where we come from, celebrating the Welsh language, and taking pride in a nation with a rich cultural heritage and a strong sense of community.
It’s a day to honour not just a saint, but the spirit of Wales itself, its history, language, resilience and the warmth of its communities

Wishing everyone a very happy and proud St David’s Day.

Tinker, taylor, soldier, sailer, builder, accountant, solicitor, mechanic. In fact anyone can become a Freemason, including the ladies!

Kinson Masonic Lodge members are a real melting pot of society but everyone has a similar reason for joining freemasonry. They all want to be better men and support our society, while enjoying the companionship of like minded people.

What happens at our meetings? Well, we meet up once a month from September to June. There’s some ceremonial, general business and administration, before everyone retires for a good meal with the odd glass.

There’s plenty of banter and laughs with the other members, while generating money for charities. Every penny we raise goes to good causes, both locally and nationally.

You don’t see Freemasons standing in the street, collecting from the general public. All the money we raise comes from our own members.

We also have a very active social programme, from coffee and cake mornings to a full blown dinner and dance. We openly encourage all the family to join us and enjoy everything we do.

We’re looking for new members now, so if you’re interested in knowing more about who we are and what we do, just reply to this post or email our secretary on

Our Class of Rotation is always well attended with the guys all learning the finer points of our rituals and ceremonial.

To such a degree (excuse the pun) that the meeting on Tuesday will be followed by a good old fashioned chippy tea, of course from a local fish and chip shop, Chips Ahoy! Smashing stuff.

So everyone makes a daily advancement in Masonic knowledge, has plenty of opportunity to have a good chin wag while eating some excellent fish and chips (alternatives are available for those that aren’t keen on fish).

What a great night with the team. Kinson, the Happy Lodge.
