We are delighted to announce that after we supported young Judo star Izzie Everest to get a new folding wheelchair (& it's a Gold one!) to enable her to travel to and compete in more competitions, she only went and won a silver medal in Holland.
This is all because of your generosity so thank you all ❤️

"I’m really enjoying my new chair, as it has given me a greater sense of freedom and independence. It has allowed me to travel and go on holiday without the anxiety of my chair being lost or damaged during flights, which is incredibly important to me. I can now enjoy every part of travelling without the worry that I previously experienced.
One of the features I particularly value is that the chair folds, making it much easier for me to travel in friends’ and family members’ cars and take part in days out. This has made a real difference to my independence and has allowed me to be more involved in everyday life and social activities. It’s also gold, which is a lovely personal touch and has resulted in me receiving lots of compliments about the colour!
Most importantly, the chair enables me to continue travelling and participating in the sport I love without the stress and anxiety of worrying whether it will be usable when I arrive at my destination. The thought of arriving at a competition to find that my chair had been damaged or, even worse, lost was a huge source of anxiety for me previously. I now have much greater confidence that I can travel and continue doing the things that are important to me.
My first outing in the chair was to the Pan-Disability European Judo and World Kata Championships in Holland. I was particularly proud of my achievements there, winning a silver medal in Judo after being placed in a heavier weight category and competing at a higher level than I normally would. I also won silver in Kata and, to top it all off, was awarded Athlete of the Tournament, which was a huge honour and something I was extremely proud of.
My next competition is currently planned for April, again in Holland, where I’m hoping to go one step further and win gold. I’m also hoping to take part in some additional competitions beforehand so that I can continue developing, competing and enjoying the sport I love." Isabel Everest.
