Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the 2026 National Animal Rights Day in Bournemouth!
Hundreds of people filled the streets on June 7th for NARD 16, holding up the faces of those who cannot hold up their own.
Every placard and every pair of eyes staring back at the world and asking: *when?*
This is what the grief march is. Not despair, but love made visible. A crowd of people who know that the lives lost were real, that they mattered, and that they will not be forgotten.
We are part of a movement happening in over 50 countries simultaneously. Thousands of voices. One message.
Every year we grow. Every year more people wake up. Every year the world gets a little harder to ignore.
Thank you to everyone who showed up in Bournemouth, whether it was your first march or your fifteenth. You are the reason this keeps growing. 💚
A special thank you to the wonderful Juliet Gellatley, Heather Mills and Vanessa Hudson from the Animal Welfare Party for fronting the march and carrying our banner, and to Sasha Jolliffe Yasawi as head steward and main organiser.
A huge thank you also to all the volunteers and stewards (thank you to Chris Jolliffe for overseeing it all) that made the march possible and safe for all attendees and spectator, and to .photojournalism, Pia | Vegan Cinema Scroll 🌱📹, and the .wessex.hunt.sabs for capturing the day (photo and video credit of this post goes out to them!).
And of course everyone who donated and helped spread the word. We couldn’t do it without you 🫶🏻
