The Keep-It-Local Magazine Castle Point June edition Keep It Local Marketing features a special CAVS call out in YOUR community for more people to join our dedicated and friendly Befriending Team.

All you need is kindness, just an hour a week is all it takes and a desire to help make a positive difference to the life of another. Contact us for further details. We’d love to talk to you.

* A MESAGE FROM TRACY HARRIS, CEO, CAVS *

"As we celebrate ' Week 2026 and take the time to specially recognise our wonderful volunteers for all their kindness and committment, I want to highlight just how much we value everything that is carried out voluntarily to support our vital community services. Volunteers' underpin all that we do in providing a Befriending Service, Family Mentoring, Ways to Wellness and Social Prescribing.

We are tackling many things across our local communities including loneliness and isolation. I’m sharing a short video on CAVS Befriending Service as we reflect on the positive impacts our existing volunteers have on the lives of others who reach out to us for help.

As demand increases, more volunteers are needed to support the vital work we do across Castle Point. Do you have some spare time that you could give and help make a real difference to the life of another?

Thank you to all our volunteers for being the heart of CAVS. 💙

IT'S VOLUNTEER'S WEEK!

Celebrating the UK’s Volunteers Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering in their communities.

EVERY SINGLE DAY, our own army of wonderful Volunteers’ inspire us with their dedication and amazing contributions that they make to our charitable cause, literally bringing life-lines of help to residents who turn to us for help in all sorts of ways.

Without them, we would not be able to serve the many people that we do across our local communities, in helping them to lead safer, healthier and happier lives.

So, we are starting this week long celebration off by conveying a huge big THANK YOU to all of our brilliant volunteers, we simply could not deliver the vital community services that we do without you.

Like to volunteer with CAVS? Find out more about the highly rewarding opportunties we can offer. we'd love to tell you more.
