Residents across Southend, Rochford, and surrounding areas are invited to a special community screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing.🌿

🌍🌱 The eye-Opening Climate Film Screening in Rochford is being hosted by South East Essex Organic Gardeners (SEEOG) and Trust Links as part of the Eco Days Programme πŸŒΏβ™»οΈ

This thought-provoking event will bring people together to learn more about some of the most pressing environmental challenges facing the country. 🌎⚠️
The People’s Emergency Briefing features nine leading UK scientists and experts πŸ‘©β€πŸ”¬πŸ‘¨β€πŸ”¬, presenting the latest evidence on key issues including:
🌦️ Extreme weather, πŸ₯• Food security, ❀️ Health and πŸ’· The rising cost of living.

The film aims to make complex topics accessible, helping audiences understand how environmental changes are already affecting communities across the UK. The introduction is led by Chris Packham πŸ“ΊπŸ¦, the much-loved wildlife presenter and climate activist.

What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life here in the UK? 🌍

Join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing, a powerful and eye-opening film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts to explain the latest evidence around climate and nature, and why it matters for all of us.

Topics include:
🌧️ Extreme weather
🍞 Food security
πŸ₯ Health
πŸ’· Cost of living

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster, featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times, and includes appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and voices from communities across the UK.

After the screening there will be a short open discussion about what this means for our local community and what action we can take together. We’re also pleased that our local MPs have confirmed they will join constituents for this important conversation about our future.
