Our Story

4SX was formed in 2014 from voluntary sector organisations. It is a membership organisation which brings together voluntary sector partners in Essex in a new vehicle to bid and deliver contracts.

We are currently running an amazing free scheme for carers in Essex, called ‘Essex Carers - The Way to Work’.

What’s it all about?

4SX are currently running an amazing free project for carers in Essex, called ‘Essex Carers - The Way to Work’, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund.

What’s it all about?

Essex Carers - The Way to Work will support Carers across Essex to tackle the difficulties they face when accessing work, education, training and volunteering opportunities.

Support may come in the shape of funding for courses and respite to free-up time for Carers to attend them.

Carers are eligible for our support if they meet the following criteria:

They are a Carer for a loved one or friend, or have been in the last 12 months.

They are aged 16 and over.

They live in Essex.

They are unemployed (looking for work) or economically active (not looking for work).

Some of our Carers need help to access volunteering; others are looking to build their new career.
