🌡️ Red Heat Health Alert issued for Essex

A Red Heat Health Alert will be in place from 1:00am on 24 June until 11:00pm on 25 June 2026 as temperatures are expected to remain exceptionally high.

Hot weather can affect anyone, but older people, young children, people with long-term health conditions, and those who are more vulnerable are at greater risk.

Please help keep yourself and others safe by:
💧 Drinking plenty of water
☀️ Avoiding direct sun during the hottest part of the day
🏠 Keeping indoor spaces as cool as possible
👥 Checking on older or vulnerable family members, friends, neighbours, and people you support
⚠️ Knowing the signs of heat exhaustion and when to seek medical advice

A few simple precautions can help everyone stay safe and well during the hot weather.

About the course:
🗓️ 1-day training programme - Half-day: Learning Disability & Half-day: Autism

Delivered by experts:
🤝 Co-delivered with trainers who have lived experience of learning disabilities and autism

📌 Course details:
✔️ Aligned with Right to be Heard (DHSC, 2019)
✔️ Meets Core Capabilities Frameworks standards

⚠️ Important information:
✅ Tier 1 online training must be completed first
📩 Pre-course reading will be sent a week prior to training (essential to complete before attending)

💷 Cost:
£90 per delegate (This can be claimed back via LDSS )
