Pick Your Own Pumpkin Day 2026 is fast approaching, the SWANCC Community Allotment Group have been working hard to keep the plot maintained and the pumpkins are growing fast. We look forward to the harvest which is likely to be early September 26 for Pick Your Own Pumpkins Day at Gas House Fields Allotments. We will keep you informed for the date as the pumpkins continue to develop.

Students across will receive their A-level, T-level and other post-16 vocational and technical qualification results today.

KCC's Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, Beverley Fordham, said:
"I want to wish every student across Kent the very best as they receive their results today.

"Whether you're celebrating your achievements or considering your next steps, remember there are many different routes to success and plenty of people ready to help you along the way."

Results day can bring a mix of emotions, but support is available and there are still plenty of opportunities open to young people.

SWAN Environment Fun Day takes place Today!, with free activities across South Willesborough and Newtown for everyone to participate in.

10am Newtown Green is the launch of the Hedgehog Trail at Newtown Green. Collect your trail map and join the race to be the first to complete the trail located across South Willesborough and Newtown .

11am – 12pm Stirling Road Playpark Newtown Celebration Come along and join the fun. Nature Potion making crafts, Mud Kitchen activities, Help plant the Giant SWAN Pollinator Cafe, Create a Hedgehog Hibernacula and enjoy all the fun of the Park.

12pm -2pm Ashford Salvation Army Community Picnic Newtown Green with back by popular demand Circus Workshop, Community games and a Wildlife Parade! Come along bring a sandwich and a blanket and enjoy the fun. There is hopefully also going to be an ice cream van visiting too!

2:15pm -3:15pm Gas House Fields Allotments Cudworth Road South Willesborough Allotments Open Day Children’s activities include harvesting the Living Workshop Allotment, Hedgehog Hibernacula Making, Hedgehog Crafts, Puppets and Stories, and lots more.

6pm – 8pm Gas House Fields Allotments Cudworth Road South Willesborough Allotments Open Day Evening 6pm – 8pm In conjunction with National Allotment Society Open Allotments Week the gates will be open for all residents to visit the site, see the activities for the Community Allotment, enjoy the refreshments, opportunity to enquire about allotment tenancies and enjoy the allotments.
