Have you seen the lovely new roof at The George?

Keith Perkins has announced plans to reopen the pub, but in a way that covers the substantial overhead. We’d love to be able to show Keith how much support the pub has in the village and further afield.

Please feel free to share your favourite memories of the pub and how you’re looking forward to having another pint there some day soon!

When we thought of moving to Kent, it was The George that clinched the deal. The pub got a big thumbs up from us all!

When we moved to the village, The George was a real life line. A place to meet our new neighbours and our kids’ friends from the village school. It was such an important part of getting to know the village and settle in.

That summer we had a succession of friends staying, eager to know where we’d made our new home. They were so envious of our lovely pub, just the other side of the big field.

And the pub was where we made new family traditions - Friday night pizzas and live music - the perfect end to the working week. Then the chosen spot for a pre-Christmas dinner tipple with our new friends and family, and many more.

We miss the pub so much and hope it will open again soon!

📸 from our first night as Egerton residents! In the George of course!
