🎅 Santa’s not the only one making a list – check yours for what can be recycled!

From gift wrap to party leftovers, there’s plenty that can go in your recycling bin this Christmas. Remember to recycle:
♻️ Cardboard packaging
♻️ Clean foil trays and mince pie cases
♻️ Wine and beer bottles
♻️ Sweet and chocolate tins
♻️ Wrapping paper – as long as it’s glitter-free and not foil-based

🛑 Just make sure everything’s clean – food in your green recycling bin can spoil the whole bin!

To mark World Menopause Day (18 October), local women’s health advocates Sam Griffin and Jo Adams have announced Thriving 2025, an empowering and comprehensive event designed to support women navigating the menopausal transition.

Taking place on 18 October between 10am-4pm at Coachworks Ashford, the full-day event, packed with expert-led talks and engaging activities, is dedicated to equipping attendees with practical tools and knowledge to manage symptoms and thrive during this significant life stage.

"We created Thriving to be a positive, informative and fun day where women can feel supported and leave with actionable strategies for better health and wellbeing," said Sam Griffin, while Jo Adams added, "By covering everything from what you eat to how you move and how you rest, Thriving 2025 offers a complete roadmap to feeling your best during these years."

🦔 Hedgehog Highways – Help Our Prickly Friends! 🦔

Let’s make it easier for hedgehogs to travel safely through our neighbourhoods! 🏡

The Parish Council is giving away free Hedgehog Highway signs that can be installed on your garden fence. These small gaps help hedgehogs move freely in search of food and shelter — and the more we have, the safer and more connected their journeys become.

If you’re interested in receiving a sign and helping our hedgehogs, please get in touch! 💚
