Ascot Day Centre We provide a friendly environment for the elderly of Sunninghill, Ascot and Sunningdale. Members can be picked up by mini-bus or drive there themselves.

The Ascot Day Centre provides a friendly environment for the elderly in the Ascot, Sunninghill and Sunningdale area. We're slowly building back up after the pandemic and are looking for more volunteers and volunteer drivers to enable us to open more days and welcome more members.

There’s fundraising… and then there’s jumping out of a perfectly good aeroplane.

On 20 September, Robert, Geoff, Penny and Alex will be taking to the skies – and then, rather alarmingly, leaving the aircraft without it.

They’re doing it to raise money for Ascot Day Centre, helping us continue to provide a welcoming place where local older people can meet, enjoy activities, make friends and spend time together.

The nerves may be starting to kick in, so now would be an excellent time to remind them why they agreed to do this!

Why not come and join us in our new ‘Card Making Class’ which is now being held at The Chandler Club - making cards for all occasions which are being sold locally, and at various fund-raising events in the area to raise money for the Club.

Enjoy a relaxing day, meet new people and create beautiful, handcrafted cards, great for keeping the mind active, focussed, and gives a great sense of achievement.

‘Making a handmade card for that special person is far more meaningful’.

‘You come into the class black and white and leave in colour’

No experience needed, step by step 1 to 1 guidance in a very friendly environment.

One of the ladies who attends the class says - “I look forward to the class each week, it’s very creative, uplifting, interesting, give us something to do that gets you thinking, also helping the centre to raise money and is a very friendly group”.

These sessions not only encourage creativity and mental stimulation but also help reduce loneliness by bringing people together in a warm and welcoming space. For many of our attendees, the day centre is a vital lifeline - offering friendship, routine, and a sense of belonging.

This is a new addition to our already busy activities schedule, which everyone is welcome to come and join in.

Why not spend the day doing various activities, enjoying outings and a home cooked nutritious two course lunch.

The Chandler Club offers a social connection and opportunities to meet other people in a very friendly environment.

Everyone is welcome.

Happy Easter everyone 🐣🐣🐰

These beautiful creations were made by one of our lovely members. Several of our members enjoy knitting and some of them have been making blankets for Battersea Cats and Dogs Home.

We’re currently looking for donations of knitting wool, so they can continue their lovely projects. If you have any spare yarn lying around we’d be so grateful to receive it.
