๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Youth voices matter in shaping the future of sport in Europe.

Last week in Strasbourg, โ€™s Youth Advisory Board was represented in the discussions preparing for the 19th Conference of Ministers Responsible for Sport. ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ

The discussions focused on how sport in Europe can become safer, healthier, more inclusive and more respectful of human rights ๐Ÿซถ especially for children and young people.

For ISCA, this dialogue is not only about policy. It is about access, equality and the everyday reality of people and communities across Europe.

Sport should not be a privilege. It should be for all.

Did you know that the last statistics on eye health are projecting 50% of 16 - 18 year-olds in Europe to have myopia by 2035?

Gladly, there are many things we do every day that can change these projections and shape healthier lives.

More movement, more time outdoors, and less time on screens - these small daily choices support healthier bodies, minds, and eyes.

For your children and for yourself - choose better, every day. ๐ŸŒฟ

Small things matter every day. This week is just our nudge to remember it ๐Ÿ’œ

European Mental Health Week (4โ€“8 May) is a reminder that wellbeing isn't built in big moments, it's in the everyday, ordinary ones.

Hit play ๐Ÿ‘† screenshot when the shuffle starts, follow what it says, and actually try it. Go on!

It sounds small, but that's kind of the point โ€” the ABCs of Mental Health is built around the idea that wellbeing isn't about big dramatic changes. it's about the small stuff you do every day, for yourself and the people around you.

๐ŸŽด The full deck of Conversation Cards (and a lot more) is waiting for you at https://bit.ly/3ODRgCg - print them, share them and bring them to your next gathering.

๐Ÿšจ 42% have witnessed or experienced racial discrimination in grassroots sport, and yet most clubs still don't have the systems to respond.

Our community survey across Italy, Slovenia, Norway & Germany reveals the gap:

-41% don't know their organisation's reporting system
-1 in 5 say racialised communities are underrepresented in leadership
-14% don't know how to respond when discrimination happens

Seeing it isn't enough. We need to act. The ChangeMakers project has developed practical tools to help your organisation do exactly that - guidelines, real-life examples, and a self-assessment tool.

๐Ÿ”— Explore them at changemakers.isca.org/resources โ€” whether you're just starting or already working in this field, there might be something here to guide and inspire your next steps.
