GreenKayak contributes to a cleaner planet. Borrow a kayak for free, just collect trash while you paddle!🛶
SEASON CLOSED!

Bookings open April 17 in app • Season starts May 1! GreenKayak is a non-profit initiative that aims to reduce waste in the blue element. The kayak is designed for two people and equipment is provided for collection and safety on the water. In exchange for a free trip with a GreenKayak, we expect a few tasks to be completed so that you use the kayak with its intended purpose. Therefore, a contract must be signed before the start of the trip so that there is an understanding of the experience objectives. (1) On your trip, you must collect trash and later return and weigh it at the GreenKayak host. (2) We expect you to gather as much litter as possible on the trip. Trash can easily be found in many places in the harbour, if you don't find anything, search better. There are always hidden corners with trash. (3) We ask you to document the experience with photos or films and post them directly on social media. Tag us .ngo and use .

Halloween is so fun, but it’s also a big contributer to plastic waste🫣🎃

Cheap costumes worn once, plastic decorations, and individually wrapped candy all bought for one day, and a lot of it ends up in the trash by November 1st.

This year, let’s try something different! Pick your emoji and follow the line to find your sustainable Halloween challenge👻💀

Save this post, do your challenge on Halloween, and tag us in your story so we can share it!

Which challenge did you land on?

Five countries taking on ocean pollution, one paddle at a time. Swipe to see who the leader was this year! 🌊

Every location added to this season’s total, and the smaller numbers are just as impressive since there are fewer GreenKayaks to go around in those countries. More locations means more impact (way to go Germany!)🇩🇪

Think your country can take the lead next year?

Another GreenKayak season comes to a close!

And once again, we are amazed🎉🛶

18,220 of you picked up a paddle and collected 17,327.8 kilos of trash across 19 cities in Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Finland, and Norway.

Locals, visitors, friends, families and strangers, all joining in to take part in this collective effort🌍

Thank you for another incredible season of paddling for cleaner oceans. We can’t wait to see you on the water again next year 🌊
