Black-owned businesses are growing—and their impact is undeniable. From 2017 to 2023, the number of Black-owned employer businesses rose 62%, surpassing 200,000 firms. Together, they generated $249 billion in revenue, supported more than 1.8 million jobs, and paid $69.8 billion in salaries. That momentum deserves investment, visibility, and opportunity. When Black businesses grow, communities and the entire U.S. economy grow with them.
