Domestic violence and abuse can happen to anyone, regardless of size, gender, or strength, yet the problem is often overlooked, excused, or denied. This is especially true when the abuse is psychological, rather than physical. Emotional abuse is often minimized, yet it can leave deep and lasting scars.

After a non scheduled visit to hospital today. Was great to see domestic abuse posters prominently displayed in places like Medway Maritime Hospital can make a real difference.
Hospitals are often one of the few places someone experiencing abuse might be able to access safely, so having clear, visible information about support services can be a lifeline.
Even if someone isn’t ready to act immediately, just knowing support exists can stay with you.
