The Ripple Effect Education

TREE equips children, youth, and adults of diverse identities with the tools they need to transform conflict, seek justice, dismantle oppressive systems, and build positive peace into their relationships, classrooms, workplaces, and
communities. We develop and facilitate vibrant skill-based programs and workshops to give youth (Kindergarten-Grade 12), educators, workplaces, and communities the too

ls they need to resolve conflict, and to build peace, empathy, communication, diversity, inclusion, equity, anti-oppression, and anti-racism into all aspects of their lives. Through our workshops and programs, we help participants develop empathy and resilience in conflict transformation; self-reflection; healthier interpersonal relationships; and an understanding of how to contribute to the global community through an equitable lens. Additionally, TREE offers custom programming for youth, including the Kindred Credit Union Peace Innovators Scholarship and Mentoring program for high school students in Grade 11 and 12. TREE is always seeking facilitators who are passionate about peace education, conflict resolution, and social justice.

This week, we’re highlighting Misha, a Psychology student at Wilfrid Laurier University who volunteered with TREE in classrooms this past winter! 🌱

With a passion for education and a future career in teaching, Misha brought patience, encouragement, and care into each classroom, helping students feel supported and confident as they learned and participated.

As Misha reflected, “Programs like this don’t just support academics, they help children believe in themselves.”

Today, on Women's Equality Day, we recognize the progress that has been made toward gender equality while acknowledging the work that still lies ahead.

At TREE, we believe that equality begins with education. By creating spaces where people learn empathy, challenge stereotypes, value diverse perspectives, and build healthy relationships, we're helping to foster communities where everyone can belong and thrive.
