Westvale Community Association Our driving goal is to bring people together and to celebrate all the things that make our little community so special. We rely on you!

The Westvale Community Association (WCA) is a group of Westvale volunteers who are community minded in promoting what is best for our neighbourhood as well as the organizing of community events within the neighbourhood. We are dedicated to enhancing the lives of all community residents by hosting incl

usive neighbourhood events which build community spirit through interaction, connection, fun, and friendliness. Over the years a small dedicated group of volunteers have organized events like Westvale Fun Fair and Fireworks, Community Clean Up Days, Corn Roast, Small Business Networking, E-Waste Collection, Earth Day Events, Perrenial Exchange, Westvale Family Softball, Community Garage Sale Day, Yoga in the Park, and Westvale Community Skating. Our events are only possible with the help of our volunteers.

T-12 hours till the 2026 WCA Garage Sale! The event is scheduled neighbourhood wide from 8am-12pm but we encourage neighbours to hold their sale when it’s convenient for them. And if you’re not having a sale, then be sure to take a walk around the neighbourhood and support others!

And keep an eye out for our WCA van during the event, so you can say hi to our Chair and Treasurer!

Tomorrow is our first Westvale Community Picnic and we’re so excited to announce that will be there! We know Westvalians love frozen treats, so be sure to come by the picnic to grab one at this awesome truck! You can even head to their page to find the link to their menu so you can plan ahead.

Thanks to everyone who mulched, trimmed and planted in our Pollinator Garden in Bolingbrooke Park on Sunday. With your help, it only took just over an hour to get it all done!

We lined the edge with newsprint covered with mulch to keep the grass and weeds from creeping into the garden.

We also planted a few new additions to the garden, including Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) which is the host plant for Monarch butterfly. This particular milkweed does not spread aggressively as common milkweed, and should do well in the centre of the garden where it a bit more damp.

📣 Calling all business and non-profit owners/associates 📣

Do you live in Westvale and have REGISTERED organization in the region? Do you want the lovely neighbours of Westvale to support your organization and provide them your services? Then enrol in our new Westvale Business Directory!

Starting July 1st, 2026, this list of services will be available digitally on our website and found in print in the Little Libraries throughout the neighbourhood. The list will be live from July 1st-December 31st, and will reset in the new year.

Want to enrol? Simply click on the link below to fill out the form and pay a 6-month subscription fee to complete your registration BEFORE JUNE 15th. All fees will go right back to the neighbourhood to continue funding WCA events!

Our pollinator garden refresh is happening soon! Please join Tim Taylor to help prepare our garden for the summer ahead. It’s an easy task and a great way to soak up some sunshine. Come out on May 24th from 3pm-4pm at Bolingbrooke Park to get involved, everyone is welcome!

It’s almost time for our first ever Westvale Community Picnic! Join us on May 30th at Westwind Park from 3:30pm-6:30pm to unwind in the sunshine and socialize with your neighbours. Bring your own picnic and have some fun playing lawn games or creating some crafts. We’ll also have food trucks on sight if you feel like getting a treat!

We’re so excited to have the support of the , through their mini-grant, to organize this new event! So don’t miss out and come hangout with us. And we’re still looking for more volunteers if you’re interested in helping out!
