We now have two dogs with placements heading from Alberta to the west coast and we need more gas vouchers or funds for this trip and our email is [email protected] for either if you are in a position to help in any way.

~ Does anyone have any gas vouchers to share with us ? Or like actual money to get it.

You'll remember that our Thanksgiving Dog Trip had to be rescheduled to this weekend?
The driveshaft is fixed and the power steering pump replaced and we just need one back tire changed.
Our quest for gas is still a "thing". Please help us get Jack and friends from A to B?

🐕MARIAN'S NICE & PAWS ON TABLE IS HER VICE

[ and she can travel with Jack to Vancouver Island from Alberta]

☆ Puts her feet up on the table and tries to steal any unprotected food...will run off with a whole loaf of sliced bread...a big puppy pen can be provided for down time☆

☆Doesn't want to eat you☆

☆Housetrained not to p**p in house☆

☆ Will maybe bark when she first sees you come home if you are a man☆

☆Skittish since being in Canada and was happier in Mexico with her siblings . So she needs dogs in the home to be at her happiest☆

☆ In Canada just over 2 months ☆

Playful Marian is sweet and in need of good exercise and is looking for a Vancouver Island/BC/AB foster home.
She takes a while to settle in snd trust you but is loving, clean, healthy, 21 month old puppy and she would love an opportunity to be part of a family. She is VERY cat friendly in the sense that she just ignores them entirely. Needs to be with other dogs.
She needs at least 2 weeks to decompress and her 3-3-3 looks more like a 7-7-7 unless you have dogs. She attaches to Playful dogs and seems to gravitate towards whoever walks her the most.
Will need fully fenced secure yard so she can decompress on property before venturing further afield. Canada is very new to Marian.

Bonnie is still up for adoption in Campbell River to the Campbellrivians or those in surrounding areas...like the Comoxians.
This will be an ' open adoption' so that Bonnie can get to know her new family before overnight visits so she can better transition between homes.
She kinda likes the foster home a LOT and they don't need a permanent 4th dog. However they are setting her up for success.

PUPPY POWER

Chucho [ hardly recognizable as it is the first time since he was 6 years old that he has shaved off his " Bad Bunny" beard] has been again helping Manchas to strengthen his leg muscles by walking on the sand next to Lake Catemaco today.
Manchas is happy his favourite University student is here with him this weekend♡

We have spent all week fixing our van to make this trip possible for these sweet souls...

Changing 1 tire and raising trip funds for gas is the mountain we need to climb to get a sweet dog to their forever home after he needed vet care in Alberta.

PROPER POSH PAUPER PUPS PRAYIN' por PESOS

Burrito is oblivious to the fact that his fancy shelter dog lifestyle is financed by the kindness of people like YOU.
He hasn't missed a meal since the screwworms got sucked out of him 4 months ago. So he thinks he is proper posh.

Vet Bills, Monday food supplies, dewormer, taxi to get to the vet are the next things on our list in Mexico now the second rent is paid [ And we are so grateful that happened today]
In Canada we need foster food, gas for the trip we cancelled last weekend which is reprised this weekend and a vet consult for ears and tremors for a Canadian dog.

We have to keep asking for the sake of the dogs. Donations are survival to our hairy friends...who have no idea of their own poverty plight.

Dear potential Respite Fosters/ New Applicants

Having trouble filling out the form at www.flyingdogscanada.com ???

Then Email us at [email protected] and we can help if you are having trouble putting in the application.
Please bear in mind that no reputable rescue is going to send a dog to someone who doesn't apply and just wants to message through Facebook with no follow through.
We have to check references unless you have already adopted/ fostered with us.

We get people messaging telling us about their families and pets and it seems they think fostering happens over facebook. It doesn't.
We need an IP address attached to sn application, ID, a veterinarian to vouch for you being a client. The ID needs to match your face at the homevisit. Your spouse needs to be on board/ in the loop and agreeable.

Adoption is easier because you have to only be great with dogs.

As a Foster team member you need to be great with dogs AND communicative witb fb messenger, have a steady, pragmatic character and have the capacity to follow Flying Dogs foster protocols. We need to actually like you and you need to like us....enough to be able to work as a team. We will support you as best we can throughout.

We have fantastic fosters who are full and can no longer foster actively because they adopted several dogs from us. However they very kindly stick around to welcome, help and advise incoming new foster team members.

Give it a try? You don't have to commit if you go through the process. You can take your time.

Could you offer up 3 to 6 weeks [ flexible] of foster care to a foster dog in need, owing to caregiver injury?
We have three dogs🦮🐕‍🦺🐶 needing a placement separately or two could be together💘💝.
