CUPE Local 2011 This is the official page of CUPE Local 2011.

We acknowledge that the District of Saanich lies within the territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples represented by the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations and the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples represented by the Tsartlip, Pauquachin, Tsawout, Tseycum and Malahat Nations, and the acts of colonization have made many equities for First Nation people who do speak this continue to have fibre and communities and cultures. We recognition is that we have a responsibility to work toward truth and reconciliation, and we remain open to suggestions from indigenous members, on how our organization can continue to work for towards reconciliation.

CUPE 2011 Annual General Meeting – Election Results

CUPE 2011 held its Annual General Meeting last night and is pleased to announce the results of the elections for the available positions.

We would like to congratulate the following members on their successful election:
• President – Ryan Graham
• Inside Vice President – Suzanne Renauld
• Public Works Vice President – John Garnett
• Lead Shop Steward – Chris Gateley
• Recording Secretary – Jillian Tuson
• Trustee – Allison Sorvin

We also want to extend our sincere thanks to all members who put their names forward and to everyone who participated in the election process. Your ongoing engagement and commitment help strengthen our union and ensure that CUPE 2011 continues to represent its members effectively. We also would like to thank our outgoing Trustee Paige Delong for their commitment to the local during their time as a Trustee.

We look forward to another productive year ahead, working together to support our members and advance our collective goals.

September 30th marks Canada's National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day to honor the children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.
It serves as a time to reflect, learn and listen to the stories. Take the opportunity to educate yourself about the history and legacy of residential schools and the ongoing challenges Indigenous peoples face.
Celebrating with respect, education, and action contributes to the journey toward reconciliation.
