Founded in 1982, HF Care (formerly Hong F**k Mental Health Association) is a leading provider of culturally grounded mental health care for East and Southeast Asian communities across the Greater Toronto Area. We offer services in Cambodian, Cantonese, Korean, Mandarin, Vietnamese, and English, using a culturally and linguistically responsive approach that meets people where they are. Our continuu

m of care spans from intake and case management to supportive housing, psychotherapy, collaborative health services, youth and family programs, recovery and community initiatives, and volunteer engagement. In partnership with HF Connecting Health Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic, we bridge mental health and primary care, creating a truly holistic network of support promoting wellness and managing illness for Asian and diverse communities across Ontario.

Every heart in this video was made by hand.

At HF Care, we believe that care begins when everybody knows this is a place where they can belong.

This month, members of our Vietnamese Recovery College filled our spaces with handmade rainbow hearts, while our team joined students and community partners at the 7th annual Centennial College Pride Fundraiser.

HF Care is proud to stand alongside 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and to help create spaces where people can show up as themselves, so they can access support without having to leave part of who they are at the door.

Some of the most meaningful items in this year’s HF Care Gala Silent Auction were created by artists whose work has been shaped by their lived experiences.

Toronto perfumer Matthew Meleg, founder of Meleg Perfumes, draws from his experience with PTSD to create fragrances inspired by culture, and storytelling. The winning bidder will collaborate with him to create a one-of-a-kind scent tailored to their personality and style.

We are also honoured to feature the work of Wendy Lu, a Taiwan-born, Toronto-based multimedia artist whose practice is shaped by her experience as a hard-of-hearing artist. Her layered works invite viewers to reflect on resilience, and the relationships that sustain us.

Finally, one of our Korean clients has donated a breathtaking collection of twelve Minhwa (traditional Korean folk art) paintings. Using art as a cornerstone of her recovery, she creating works that celebrate her joy and inner strength.
