On March 28, CPAC Institute successfully hosted the Education Forum Building Capacity for Equity and Inclusion in Ontario Education in Toronto.

The forum brought together educators, researchers, and community leaders to discuss how East and Southeast Asian Canadian experiences can be better integrated into school curricula and how education systems can strengthen their response to anti-Asian racism.

We were honoured to hear from keynote speaker Dr. Kevin Kumashiro, presenter Dr. Bailing Zhang, moderator Dr. Kien Nam Luu, and panelists Karlo Cabrera, Gen-Ling Chang, and Dr. Vidya Shah.

Participants also joined breakout discussions on curriculum and pedagogy, educator support, leadership representation, cross-sector collaboration, institutional accountability, and student mental health.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in advancing a more inclusive future for education.

Toronto stands together for Hong Kong. ❤️🌏

The GTA community launched “Toronto Responds: Support for Hong Kong Fire Victims Fund” to help families affected by the tragic fire in Hong Kong’s Tai Po district.

More than 159 lives were lost, 31 people remain missing, and nearly 2,000 households are urgently awaiting support. Our goal is to raise $500,000 in six weeks, with a first milestone of $250,000 before Christmas, so that immediate aid can reach those who need it most.

This campaign is jointly organized by:
✔ CPAC Foundation
✔ Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation
✔ Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto
✔ Chao Chow Association of Ontario
✔ Toronto Hong Kong Lions Club

Supported by community leaders, associations and multiple Lions Clubs across the GTA.

💬 “Every dollar donated will be transferred safely, efficiently, and transparently to The Community Chest of Hong Kong,” said CPAC Foundation President Helen Cao.
