🏃‍♂️ 10 years. Two races. One powerful reason to keep showing up.

This year marks Andrew’s 10th Run for Promise, and he’s going big: running the 5K on October 17 AND the full marathon on October 18!

Why does he keep coming back?

Years ago, Andrew spent a week at summer camp with UrbanPromise Toronto and saw firsthand what can happen when children and youth are surrounded by people who consistently show up with time, care, encouragement, and love.

That experience stayed with him. And he’s been running ever since.

Every kilometre Andrew runs helps shine a light on the work happening year-round through UrbanPromise Toronto: AfterSchool programs, mentorship, safe community spaces, and leadership opportunities for children and youth in Toronto Community Housing.

Our All Camp BBQ was the prefect way to end our summer programming at UrbanPromise Toronto🌭 The last day of summer camp is always bittersweet but we're happy to celebrate the kids, leaders, and staff that made this summer amazing! The relationships built, lessons learned, and memories made won't be forgotten❤️

“I really wish there was more UrbanPromise in Toronto!" 🏙️

The Morning Star Mission Team shares their thoughts after spending a week volunteering with Camp Hope. During summer camp, we invite church mission teams to volunteer and serve alongside staff. It's one of the many ways we invite people to partner with us and be a part of the change we are making.
We were thrilled to have the Morning Star mission team join us for week two of summer camp 🩵They got to know our kids and youth and shared the gospel with them✝️ Thank you Morningstar Christian Fellowship for an amazing week of service! One week of volunteering can make a lasting impact

One of our campers captured their visit to High park where we held UrbanPromise Toronto’s annual All Camp Day! All three of UrbanPromise Toronto’s camp locations came together to celebrate what God is doing at camp and perform dances to our favourite worship songs🎶 These memories make a difference.

VIBES are how we keep the good times coming at UrbanPromise Toronto😎

Summer camp has been such an amazing success, but it didn’t happen by accident. Our Leaders did an amazing job of demonstrating what good VIBES look like to their campers. This wasn’t a small feat, so we are very proud of how they’ve shown up this summer for our kids and YMADs 👏This acronym is a great reminder that everyone plays an important part in keeping camp fun and safe for everyone!
