In 2020, Dr. Earl Bogoch was appointed the inaugural holder of the Brookfield Chair in Fracture Prevention. This University of Toronto chair, a global first of its type, was established at the University of Toronto and St. Michael’s Foundation through the generosity of Brookfield Partners Foundation, which provided a $3 million grant. Dr. Bogoch, as the first incumbent of the Brookfield Chair has now retired as the Term 1 Chairholder and will consult with the incoming Chair and support the transition from Term 1 to Term 2.
