A NEW START! St. Anne’s Anglican Church and the Anglican Foundation of Canada generously hosted COSA’s Third Annual Festival of Choirs with COSA Solo Artists. “New Beginnings” made for a magnetizing theme after the arson that destroyed St. Anne’s Church Building, and gathered us together to begin again in New Year celebrations. The solo artists were soprano Joanna Li, tenors Frank Yu, Curtis Zhang, and collaborative pianist Helen Becqué. The participating groups were St. Anne’s Anglican Church Choir (Hyejin Kwon), The University of Toronto Allegro Student Choir (Dir. Frank Yu, Pianists Bingbing Li, Jeffery Lo), The Chinese Canadian Choir of Toronto (Dir. Luyao Xu, Vivian Ho), and St. Timothy’s Presbyterian Church Percussion Ensemble. Many Thanks to Rev. Hannah Johnston, St. Anne’s Music Director Hyejin Kwon, and St. Anne’s Treasurer David Garde. It was a poignant gathering - and a hugely positive one, as boldly, we all move ahead.

CELESTE THORDARSON! The Centre Of Singing Arts [CŌSA] is grateful to Celeste Thordarson for her skillful excellence across multiple roles in our vibrant organization. In addition to her singing prowess in such productions as HMS Pinafore, Endymion’s Dream and other [CŌSA] productions during the pandemic, Celeste then distinguished herself in successfully taking on the role of our Administrative Associate before further thriving as our Office Manager.

We are tremendously grateful for Celeste’s excellent work and contributions to [CŌSA]. We wish her every success as she departs to take on new adventures and further exciting times! Thank you, Celeste!!!
