The Centre of Singing Arts, [cōsa] is pleased to welcome KATIE KIRKPATRICK as its Marketing, Media, and Communications Coordinator. Welcome, Katie!
Katie Kirkpatrick is a Toronto-based flutist, recording artist, and creative project manager whose work spans performance, recording, digital media, and artistic project development. Originally from Timmins, Ontario, Katie recently completed her Master of Music in Performance at the University of Toronto, following a Bachelor of Music and Artist Diploma from Western University.
As a performer, Katie works across orchestral, chamber, solo, and contemporary music, with performances throughout Canada and Europe. Her recent work includes appearances at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and the soundSCAPE Music Festival at the Hindemith Centre in Blonay, Switzerland. She is particularly passionate about contemporary music and creative collaboration, regularly working with composers through performance, recording, and project development.
Alongside her performing career, Katie has developed a growing practice in arts administration and creative project management. She currently works with Canadian composer Jeff Smallman as a grant writer, project manager, and recording artist for the Ontario Arts Council-funded Letters to Grace recording project.
At [cōsa], Katie works across graphic design, social media, website development, and communications. She is proud to support [cōsa]’s commitment to making opera more accessible and welcoming, and to continue building its exciting creative presence with "A Great Time. For Everyone. Every Time."
Whether performing on stage or working behind the scenes, Katie is passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for artists and audiences and helping bring innovative musical projects to life.
