Sweet moments from our children’s cooking program 🍪🍦

Our young chefs got hands-on in the kitchen, baking cookies from scratch and then turning them into the ultimate treat, ice cream sandwiches. From mixing ingredients to building their creations, they experienced every step of the process.

It’s all about learning new skills, building confidence, and having fun along the way and enjoying the tasty results too!

🌟 From Camper to Leader: Ella’s Story 🌟

Ella has been part of the Frontlines community since she was young enough to attend summer camp. Today, as a Grade 9 student at Weston CI, she is giving back as a volunteer through our Leadership Program and Homework Club.

Her journey is a powerful example of how consistent support, mentorship, and opportunities can help young people build confidence, develop leadership skills, and discover their potential.

Our ALL IN MY FEELZ session was all about self-love, creativity, and confidence 💖✨
Participants designed personalized make-up bags centered around themes of self-care, personal care, and emotional wellness.

Through this fun and empowering activity, the girls were encouraged to express themselves creatively while having meaningful conversations about confidence, hygiene, mental health, and the importance of taking care of themselves inside and out.

The session created a safe and supportive space where participants could build self-esteem, connect with one another, and reflect on what self-love truly means to them. We love seeing our girls uplift, inspire, and encourage each other every step of the way 💕

Growth looks different for every young person. Sometimes it starts with trying something new, speaking up for the first time, building a new skill, or simply finding a place where you feel comfortable being yourself.

At Frontlines, we focus on creating opportunities that help youth explore their interests, connect with positive mentors, and gain experiences that can shape their future in meaningful ways. From workshops and certifications to leadership opportunities and community engagement, every experience is designed to help youth take another step forward. 💜

Watching youth become more confident, engaged, and motivated is why we do this work every single day.

Yesterday, our youth had the opportunity to learn about the basics of marketing in a workshop led by Travaun, Frontlines' Marketing & Communications Coordinator.

After learning about branding, promotion, and how businesses connect with their customers, the youth put their skills to the test in a fun Shark Tank-style activity. Working in teams, they came up with their own product or service and pitched it to a panel of judges, who then selected a winning idea.

There were plenty of creative ideas, great presentations, and lots of laughs along the way. It's always amazing to see the confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills that come out during activities like this.

This has become one of our program favourites and is always a highlight for both youth and staff!
