HISTORIC GATHERING OF AKA JI ỌVỌ CUSTODIANS AT THE ANCIENT OBU-GAD ROYAL PALACE, ENUGWU AGULERI
By the grace of Almighty God, I have the privilege to declare that the prophesied year of atonement prior to the Jubilee year is upon us. This is the appointed time for the liberty, return, and restoration of wealth and prosperity to God's people scattered around the world.
This coincides with the unprecedented and historic gathering of the Aka Ji Ọvọ Custodians at the ancient Obu-Gad Royal Palace, Enugwu Aguleri, on September 20, 2026.
The event was followed by prayers for the well-being, unity, liberation, and breakthrough of the Igbo people worldwide, led by His Imperial Majesty, Eze Chukwuemeka Eri —Eze Digbo, Ezeora 34th, Eze Aka Ji Ovo Igbo, and the present occupant of the Eri Throne.
High Chief Kingsley Umeh-Chibuike (Odum Aguata), Convener of the gathering, later explained the spiritual significance: these prayers and trumpet blasts, taking place on Nkwo day in the seventh month of the native Igbo calendar, marked a Day of Atonement ushering in an approaching Year of Jubilee, September 2027—a symbolic era for the return, liberty, and restoration of the scattered Igbo people in fulfillment of ancient prophecies.
This symbolism aligns with Leviticus 25:9–10, which describes sounding the trumpet on the Day of Atonement and proclaiming liberty throughout the land in the fiftieth year. Nze Ukwu Umeh-Chibuike further emphasized that the supreme blood of Onyeisiuwa (Yeshua) has replaced animal sacrifices, elevating the Ọvo into a pure instrument of truth, justice, and righteousness under Chukwu Okike.
